Meet the Characters
Three people at a Choosing Ceremony — and the sister who thinks she won the gamble.
Riley
The elder Parker daughter, reborn on Choosing Day with memories of her past life.
Brunette, elf-eared, wears a sage-green courtship dress with gold embroidery. Last time, she was forced to run and live like a stray after Zoe took the Lion Chief.
When Aiden introduces himself as 'just from the underground insect clan — the lowest, weakest race in all of Elder Land,' Riley doesn't flinch. 'So what? I'll earn what I want myself. If you mean it, just stay with me. That's enough.' When her father disowns her, she doesn't look back. When Zoe steals the Lion Chief in this life, Riley smiles: 'This time, Grace is mine.'
Aiden Reed
The man everyone mocks as the underground insect-clan outcast — actually the Dragon King in disguise.
Dark-haired, sharp-featured, wears a simple brown leather tunic. He's been wandering the streets every day to avoid the palace elders pushing females at him.
He warns Riley: 'Stay with me and you'll be mocked and bullied for life.' But when she says 'I'll earn what I want myself,' he's quiet for a moment. To his attendant he mutters: 'All those vain beast folk I've known, she might be the easiest person to please I've ever met.' The elders are nagging him to pick a mate — 'Better her than dealing with those scheming beast women at the palace.'
Zoe
Riley's younger sister, who in this life eagerly claims the Lion Clan.
Blonde, curly-haired, elf-eared, wears a pink courtship dress with flower trim. Last time she got the weak insect-clan match; this time she's determined to take the Lion Chief.
She smirks at Riley: 'Sis, I admire your courage, but from now on, you belong to the lowly insect clan and I belong to the lion clan. For the rest of your life. You'll be beneath me.' She walks off with Grayson Ellis of the Lion Clan, believing she won. The subtitle that defines her: 'I took your luck this time. Now it's your turn to be thrown away.'
When Two Worlds Collide
A Choosing Ceremony, a stolen mate, and a dragon hiding as an insect.
Episode one opens on the Choosing Ceremony. Riley stands in a sage-green dress, elf-eared, and asks the dark-haired boy across the aisle: 'What's your name?' 'Aiden Reed.' She takes his hand in front of the whole court and says: 'Today, I, Riley Parker, take Aiden Reed as my mate. Bear witness all of you.' Aiden hesitates: 'You really want me as your mate? Look at me. I'm just from the underground insect clan — the lowest, weakest race in all of Elder Land. Stay with me and you'll be mocked and bullied for life.' Riley: 'So what? I'll earn what I want myself. If you mean it, just stay with me. That's enough.'
The court erupts. Her father, Chief Ellis, disowns her: 'Since you've made up your mind, from this moment on, you're no longer a daughter of the Parker family. Live or die, that's on you.' Her sister Zoe steps forward, blonde and smiling: 'Sis, I admire your courage, but from now on, you belong to the lowly insect clan and I belong to the lion clan. For the rest of your life. You'll be beneath me.' Riley doesn't flinch. She whispers to Aiden: 'The mate bonding is in three days. Don't forget to come claim me.'
A cut to the palace. A dark-haired man in simple leather sits alone. His attendant bows: 'My lord, you rule all of Elder Land. Why keep disguising yourself as underground insect clan and wandering the streets every day? The patience of the elders is wearing thin. If you don't go back and choose a mate soon, they said they'll pluck my dragon scales off piece by piece.' The man — the Dragon King — smirks: 'Those old dragons won't stop nagging me to pick a mate. Better her than dealing with those scheming beast women at the palace.'

Exciting Plot Highlights
Four standout beats from the opening arc.
Episode 1 — The Choosing Ceremony
Riley takes Aiden's hand in front of the whole court. 'I, Riley Parker, take Aiden Reed as my mate.' Aiden warns her he's the lowest insect-clan outcast. She says 'So what?'
Episode 1 — Disowned by Her Father
Chief Ellis: 'From this moment on, you're no longer a daughter of the Parker family. Live or die, that's on you.' Zoe steps forward, smiling, to claim the Lion Clan.
Episode 2 — The Rebirth Reveal
Riley flashes back to her past life — forced to run, living like a stray. In this life, Zoe pushed her to go first. Riley remembers: 'Last time, Zoe pushed me to go first. So she's reborn, too. Go ahead. This time, Grace is mine.'
Episode 3 — The Dragon King in Disguise
The palace attendant bows: 'You rule all of Elder Land. Why keep disguising yourself as underground insect clan?' The Dragon King smirks: 'Better her than those scheming beast women at the palace.'
What Viewers Are Actually Saying
The comment sections that cannot stop quoting the 'this time, Grace is mine' line.
What viewers keep quoting: 'This time, Grace is mine' from episode two, where Riley reveals she's been reborn. People post the disowning scene more than any other beat. The Dragon King reveal in episode three splits the comments — half of them are furious at Zoe, half are waiting for her to realize who she threw away.
Why Worth Your Time
Three reasons this one earns your next binge.
The hook is the rebirth, not a slow burn: the flashback to Riley's past life as a stray lands in episode two, and every scene after that is her choosing the outcast on purpose because she knows who he really is. The insect-clan disguise is never a punchline; it's a wall the Dragon King built around himself.
Riley is written like a woman who already knows the ending: she doesn't hesitate at the ceremony, she doesn't beg her father, she doesn't flinch at Zoe's sneer. Aiden is allowed to look genuinely powerful — the dark hair, the smirk, the palace attendant bowing to him — instead of being softened into a weak love interest.
The atmosphere tracks the rebirth arc: sunlit courtship green in episode one, dim bedroom white in episode two, shadowed palace gold in episode three. The show leans into the fantasy-mate aesthetic without winking at it.

Zoe's 'you'll be beneath me' line made me yell. She has no idea who she just threw away.
The Dragon King reveal in episode three — the attendant bowing, the smirk. I paused it and took a screenshot.
Riley's green dress and gold embroidery. The whole courtship aesthetic is gorgeous.
I binged the first three episodes in twenty minutes. The flashback structure is tight and never confusing.
